One-of-a-kind short brim bucket hat made from an orange and white checkered vintage Dickies towel, bright orange towelling underbrim, and white cotton canvas lining.

This bucky is part of the COMMUNITY collection, celebrating the amazing people who've become essential to ColCol's journey. I first met Claire (@clairewhimp) when I bought the most beautiful trio of vintage Cannon towels off her on TradeMe (NZ's eBay). Since then, Claire has been finding me stunning towels in the deep south of Aotearoa almost on a daily basis. She's made friends with all the op shop staff, so if you're ever on the hunt for something specific, Claire's your woman. 

She's also become one of my biggest supporters, constantly checking in on me, cheering me on, and listening to me harp on about vintage towels.

* To measure your head size: Use either a measuring tape of string and a ruler and measure where a hat would usually sit, just above your eyebrows, past the top of your ears, where they attach to your head and then to the back of your head. Size up if you're between sizes.
