Ocean Sunset Bucket Hat

One-of-a-kind long brim bucket hat made from a vintage velour towel, light plum towelling underbrim, and white cotton canvas lining. The towel had no label, but I suspect that it is a much loved Cannon Seven Seas towel.

This bucky is part of the COMMUNITY collection, celebrating the amazing people who've become essential to ColCol's journey. As I was coming home one evening, I checked my letterbox and found an unsolicited parcel with this stunning towel in it and a cute note from Rashaedah (@missbellbirdvintage). I was shocked because little did she know, this pattern is at the top of my wish list. Not only does Rashaedah send me parcels of beautiful towels, but she has some incredible vintage finds on her Instagram, and the cutest cats!

* To measure your head size: Use either a measuring tape of string and a ruler and measure where a hat would usually sit, just above your eyebrows, past the top of your ears, where they attach to your head and then to the back of your head. Size up if you're between sizes.
